FAQ About Air Conditioning Repair

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

If your unit is running but not cooling then there are a few things that could potentially be causing this. A few of the most common reasons for an air conditioning not to cool properly is because of a faulty blower motor, low refrigerant levels or clogged evaporator coils.

How much does an AC repair cost?

When should I clean my AC?

If you take a look at
the filter in your house it probably looks disgusting. Air conditioning filters can be changed depending on how often you use them. Most of the time they should be changed every 3 months. If you have pets in your house or if you have allergies then you should probably change them more often than that.

Why does my AC smell like mold?

Air Conditioning units
are supposed to circulate clean and cool air into your home but sometimes they
will circulate a whole lot of mold as well. If you can smell something that reminds you of mold or mildew then this is the reason why. This problem is
normally caused by only having your filters changed once every few months. Another thing that can cause this is if water leaks into the system, or into the air ducts.

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

One of the most common
issues that people have with their air conditioning units is them not cooling properly. If you've noticed that your unit is producing cold air but not
blowing it out than this could be because of a few different things. The first thing that would happen if there is an issue with the blower motor, which could be faulty or not working at all. Another issue could be with your air conditioning not being able to reach a proper temperature in order to begin blowing out air. This can happen if there is too much debris in front of the vents or clogged coils due to excessive dust buildup.
